HEAD GASKET THICKNESS

Select Kohler / Lombardini diesel engines use match thickness head gaskets to optimize compression ratio for performance and emissions characteristics.

When replacing head gaskets, we recommend using the same thickness as installed originally on your engine. 

Hole/Notch count is visible alongside the cylinder head.  Example engine illustrations shown below.

If you have a shaved deck or cylinder head in a rebuild, consider thickness adjustment to match original stack height as called out in service manual procedures.
