Shipping & Returns
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery, subject to a 25% restocking fee. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (we specified an incorrect item for you or the item was defective, etc.). Select NOS products are subject to minimum 50% restocking fee.
The following item types are not returnable: Electrical, Engines, Engine Short or Long Block Assemblies, Transmissions, Axle Units, Axle Pumps, Axle Center Sections, Hydraulic Pumps, Reconditioned Tools, sized apparel, personal safety gear. Please ensure you have selected the correct items prior to purchase.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
All returns must be pre-authorized. If you reject a shipment or return goods unauthorized, a 50% restocking fee is applicable.
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Most customers choose cost effective shipping through US Postal Priority Mail service. We reserve the right to use 1st Class Mail for small parcels.
You must provide a physical address (for UPS/FedEx) and a valid postal address (e.g. PO Box) if you use that. We will attempt to accommodate non-postal addresses if you include a related note with your order. We may not be able to accommodate all requests.
We primarily utilize US Postal Service because it is very cost effective for small parcels, we have had great service, you get your parcels quickly, and together we are supporting great institutions in the US Postal Service or the country Post in your location.
If you know your parcel will be under 1 pound and time is not sensitive, we will try to honor notes requesting 1st class parcel service, which often takes 7-10 days compared to 1-3 days for priority mail. If we can accommodate your request, we will refund a portion of the S&H charges from your checkout.
We ship routinely to USA, Canada, and select European addresses. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
If you are at a Canada or Western European location, your shipping cost will calculate at check out, but you may also consider contacting us for further assistance with shipment costs. Small parcels not to exceed approximately 4 lbs can be shipped 1st class mail for between approximately 50% and 90% of the priority mail cost. This option will show at checkout. It is helpful if you build a shopping cart first, then Contact Us to assess it for shipping charges. Many shipments outside the USA may require 5-10 day local processing to consolidate parts not in our local inventory.
Shipping and handling charges do not consider inbound customs or duty charges. Customer is responsible for all inbound customs and duty charges with local jurisdictions.
Please note that the shipping rates for most items we sell are weight and dimensional based. If you encounter a shipping estimate which you believe is significantly in error, please Contact Us. It is helpful if you leave a shopping cart with your items so we may quickly confirm a proper shipping cost.
When you place an order, you may see common shipment timing for the products selected. If there is expected to be a delay to your order, we will contact you via eMail.
At our discretion, we may partially ship your order or ship in multiple parcels. Our goal is to get parts to complete useful repairs to you quickly, while maintaining cost effective shipping for all of our customers. If there is a specific item(s) in your order which are urgent, please leave a note on your order and we will consider this in planning partial shipment releases.
Shipping special instructions
If you have special shipping instructions ("leave at back porch", etc) to accompany your order please feel free to leave them in the notes section of your checkout. Under no circumstance do we guarantee this information can successfully be passed on to the parcel carrier or followed. Best we can say is that with the wide array of ordering and shipping systems in use, we'll try.
We ship about 95% of orders on a same business day (M-F) basis. Some brands are better than others, of course. It all comes down to how commonly requested is the part you are seeking. What we don't do is limit our offerings only to things that retailers can get you today. We offer full brand line catalogs. When you need quality equipment repaired, whether it is old or new, we will track down the available parts and get them to you. You may expect we can do it as quickly as any retailer of these brands.
If we encounter a backorder with an item in your order, we will contact you by eMail. At our discretion, we may partially ship your order or hold the order for complete shipment. Our goal is to get parts to complete useful repairs to you quickly, while maintaining cost effective shipping for all of our customers. If there is a specific item(s) in your order which are urgent, please leave a note on your order and we will consider this in planning partial shipment releases.
Our website does not generally indicate status for whether a part is 'in stock' or not. For commonly ordered products, the part detail page will indicate the expected shipping time, based on historical (not live) inventories that we pull from everywhere ... our local warehouse, distribution warehouses, and factory warehouses.
If you conduct a complex search query and limit for only 'in stock' items, this will produce an incorrect result ... it says everything is in stock ... unfortunately we have not been able to eliminate that feature from our web store system ... apologies for the inconvenience but we are not staffed with IT experts to run down hosted HTML code.
Many websites simply show 'usually ships in 1-2 days IF IN STOCK'. What good is that? We try to be more nuanced in the information shown with the part detail page, but that does not guarantee shipment within that time frame.
Contact us immediately by both phone and eMail if you wish to cancel an order.
In most cases, an order marked 'Awaiting Shipment' is not eligible to be cancelled and may have already been shipped (awaiting tracking information entry).
In select cases, we will confirm backorder information and your intent to proceed. Once you have confirmed the order, it may be unable to cancel or subject to 25% cancellation fee for product cost.
Our apologies for any inconvenience. As a practice, we are not able to support overnight shipping, even when the product you need is in stock locally. We are simply not presently in a position where all other priorities can be set aside to handle urgent shipping arrangements. When we do so, we most often encounter significant customer dis-satisfaction with the cost and final delivery results.
Please note that 2 Day service by Fedex and UPS does not guarantee Saturday or Sunday deliveries.
We are happy to take orders of all sizes. Please note that orders under $35 may encounter further fulfillment delays as often times we must first locally consolidate out of stock goods for small orders.
To accommodate availability, logistics, and other considerations, when ordering aftermarket parts we reserve the right to substitute equivalent parts of different aftermarket or OEM brands. In all possible cases we attempt not to substitute parts ordered as OEM to aftermarket brands, but reserve the right to do so where equivalent quality or sourcing is evident.
